The case and solution submission forms are open. This policy describes what they collect and how long it is kept.

Information in a submission

When a case lead or solution proposal arrives, its record contains:

• whether it is a case lead or a solution proposal;
• the related case, where a solution is proposed;
• a title and the details supplied in the form;
• a technical marker recording version 1 of the form format;
• an email address and credit name, if you choose to give them;
• a technical client token supplied with the form, which lets a repeated submission be recognised as a retry rather than stored twice;
• the time the submission arrived; and
• its review status and any note the editorial team records against it.

The email address and credit name are both optional. A submission without either is accepted and processed normally. Without an email address, the editorial team has no way to contact you about your submission. Glitchive sends no confirmation, status, or outcome email.

Abuse protection

Every submission form and the newsletter signup form are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. For rate limiting, Glitchive stores a salted hash of the IP address, not the address itself, in a separate throttle log. A newsletter subscription stores the same kind of hash on its subscriber record; that copy is kept for as long as the record itself.

How long submission details stay

The email address on a rejected or spam submission is erased once that record is 90 days old. The submission record remains so rejection and spam statistics stay intact. An email address on an accepted submission is kept while the submission is in use for the library.

Newsletter subscriptions

The newsletter is monthly. A subscription stores the email address, the time and source of consent, a salted hash of the IP address, and confirmation and unsubscribe tokens. No email is sent yet, and no sending service is connected. When sending begins, Resend will process a subscriber’s email address to deliver each message. The subscriber list stays in Glitchive’s own database. It is not exported to Resend, hosted there, or managed there.

You can end a subscription through the unsubscribe page. Unsubscribing changes the record’s status and adds a timestamp; it does not delete the record. Glitchive keeps the record to prove the request was honoured and prevent a later import from adding the address back.

Site requests and tracking

Cloudflare Pages processes standard request and server logs, which may include an IP address, browser user agent, requested path, and timestamp. This processing is used to deliver and secure the site.

There are no user accounts. Glitchive sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts. We do not build visitor profiles or sell personal information.

Privacy concerns

The corrections process explains how concerns are handled. Email privacy concerns to [email protected]. This is a working address: messages reach the editorial team and are stored as email so they can be handled. No response time is guaranteed.
